WHILE the Brazilian teams are getting ready for their trip to Namibia the Windhoek clubs are putting finishing touches to their team preparations.
Although the regular inline hockey season has ended the open teams are in full gear, putting their teams together to field the best players and find the ultimate lines for the fun tournament in Windhoek which at the same time is preparation for the Inter-Conti Cup 2008 at the SFC Hall in Swakopmund on December 12-14.
The Federation team has scheduled a training camp for the coming weekend to allow students to find and fit their respective roles on the team.
Players from Otjiwarongo and Swakopmund will travel to Windhoek to attend the training camp under the coaches Marc Pattmann and Nadia Schmidt.
Players on the Namibian national team will go through the motions in Swakopmund.
While the players are sweating it out on the rink, supporters in the five Namibian clubs are drumming up the ultimate food selection and fielding teams to take up their positions at food and beverage stalls.
Brazil are the bronze medal winners in Division I of the IIHF World Championships.
