Angola: Journalists for CAN 2010 Start Accreditation in January

2 December 2008

Luanda — Journalists that will cover the African Nations Football Cup (CAN), set for 2010 in Angola, will do their pre-accreditation next January, on Monday here announced an official source.

The director of information and marketing of the organising committee, Manuel Mariano, said that the pre-accreditation process will be done from a website of the organising committee, so that there can be no constrains at the arrival act.

He assured that a structure will be set up at the 4 de Fevereiro Airport for the final accreditation work, after the first one that is to be done on-line.

"We will create conditions not to provoke constrains to people, we will do a complementary thing work here after pre-accreditation", he underlined.

The source foresees the presence of 1,500 to 2,000 journalists in CAN that Angola is to host on January-February 2010.

The games will be disputed in the cities of Luanda, Benguela, Huila and Cabinda.
