Luanda — The head of department for family issues, of the provincial department of family and woman promotion, Jose Laurindo Congo, appealed Tuesday in Luanda, the abused people within household to denounce their aggressors, in order to enable
the authorities to take appropriate measures against them.
The official made such plead during the talk about "violence within family", crime and civic education", occurred at the Angola Menonita Evangelic Church in Rocha Pinto, Maianga district.
He believes to be necessary that the mistreated people gain courage to reveal their aggressors to the authorities and calls on the responsibility to the respective attackers.
Jose Congo pointed out as financial social factors, witchcraft accusations and refusal of paternity as the main causes for the violence against gender.
He said that the provincial department is working with sociologists, psychologists, and lawyers aiming at finding solutions to reduce the number of aggression cases that is reported all over Luanda province.
The provincial department for family and women promotion is organising these talks aiming at preventing violence acts and to stimulate dialogue within families.
