Lagos — Three years ago, former Nigeria Athletics captain Yusuf Ali was in the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) team that visited Eket for the yearly secondary Schools Sports.
While there, he was reported to have said that 'so much talent abounded in the state', if only they could be developed.He called on Mobil and the Akwa Ibom state ministry of youths and sports to "Do something extra" after the Mobil competition.
This week-end, Yusuf will return to Eket with two wards, graduates of the Mobil event.The African long jump record holder left Eket with Enobong James Inyan and Ifiok Andrew Umoh_and today, the Mobil ideals of education and sports has been practicalised as he secured admission for them at the Human Kinetics and Health Education Department of The University of Lagos, apart from improving on their past performances.
Invited Guests, Officials and Athletes will be presented with the two competition graduates who are this year's role models of the competition.
