Kickoff (Cape Town)

Asante Kotoko coach Maurice Cooreman complained about losing his players to the national team so close to an international game but is now hoping their stint with the local Black Stars will aid them to victory over AshantiGold on Wednesday.
The Belgian is unhappy he had to lose about eight players until Monday in preparation for the biggest game yet of the Ghanaian domestic season but is now counting on the confidence they gained from a comeback win over Nigeria as they take on AshantiGold.
Cooreman may not have had his boys in training until Monday but he watched the likes of Francis Coffie and Samuel Inkoom play a key part in a thrilling match and is now betting on their new found confidence to make a difference.
"Francis Coffie scored twice and had a really good game and Inkoom was good too," he said.
"Bekoe and the others in defence also took part in a high quality game so I hope they can do same for Kotoko."
Kotoko play AshantiGold in the top liner of the mid-week fixtures in a game that has been hyped on the fact that one of Kotoko's most charismatic leaders of the past Herbert Mensah is returning to Oseikrom as president of AshantiGold.
The Obuasi club have made a blistering start to the season after winning 4-1 against Real Tamale United.
Kotoko meanwhile failed to beat King Faisal at the Baba Yara stadium and will be seeking their first three points of the season.
