Four cases of mysterious deaths have been reported since last Friday November 28, 2008. Yaounde inhabitants have their hearts in their hands as many cannot stand the increasing number of mysterious deaths in the different neighbourhoods. To find a death body lying just anywhere is common site.
Four cases have been reported since Friday November 28, 2008. The body of William Petga Anselme (22) a bricklayer who lives in the Odza borne 10, was found tied and thrown in a sewage hole of about 25 metres deep.
On Saturday, November 29, Jacques Nga Hadek (25) trader who lives in the Briqueterie neighbourhood was found death at parcours vita. The following day, the body of Venasus Kube (28) a mechanic was found at the MATECO sports complex of the University of Yaounde 1. Reports say he was a victim of jungle justice.
As if that was not enough, the remains of Georges Nkesah Bouma (41) a security agent in the Mballa IV neighbourhood was killed by bandits while at work in the Bastos neighbourhood last Monday November 1. The same day, the body of a popper about 50, was found at the Nlongkak junction.
Still on that same day, a notorious assassin, Bruno Alima Atangana, alias, Cyborg who was under arrest following several accusations, notably the assassination of the Assistant Commander Baliba of the Obala Brigade in the Centre Region, was shot dead by the elements of the Centre Regional branch of the judicial police in Yaounde as he attempted to escape.
Reports say Alima Atangana was first arrested in October 2006 following the assassination of a motorbike rider, Njoya Mama, before falling into the hands of the elements of the Centre Regional judicial police on November 30. The body of Alima Atangana is presently at the mortuary of the Yaounde Central Hospital.
