Luanda — The renowned Angolan musician Filipe Mukenga will release on February 2009 a new album, the singer himself revealed this to ANGOP, in Luanda, last Tuesday.
According to Filipe Mukenga, the album will have 14 tracks and is being produced in Brazil.
"In this work, whose title I'll not reveal yet, I count on the special participation of the Brazilian musicians Martinho da Vila, Zeca Baleiro and the songstress Vania Abreu who give the album an extra quality".
He also explained that he has been somewhat absent from the stages because of some difficulties that he has faced in getting financial sponsorship, which he thinks is due to the kind of music he does.
"I do not sing a commercial style, because of this the sponsors have difficulties in getting profit from an investment made on my CD. But now there is an agency that is helping to promote musicians (...), so everything is going to be fine" he revealed.
Singer and songwriter, Filipe Mukenga has three albums in the market, namely "Novo Som" (1991), "Kianda-Kianda" (1994) and "Mimbo Yami" (2003).
