The National Democratic Congress (NDC) yesterday reacted angrily to the survey conducted by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI), which predicted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Nana Akufo Addo, would win Sunday's polls in the first round.

The CPP, on the contrary, accepted the survey as credible.

The disputed BNI report did not quote any percentage NPP would use to win in the first round.

Despite NDC whingeing at the top of its voice, Ghanaweb, a highly patronised website, had also conducted the same survey, which put Nana Addo incredible ahead of Prof. Mills.

The poll gave Nana Addo 54.4% with Mills getting 38.7%.

The same Ghanaweb, had, earlier in 2004, conducted an opinion poll that put candidate Kufuor ahead of the NDC leader, which came to pass, with the former winning more than 50% of the presidential votes. Observers think the NDC is only making a defeatist noise because they know Nana Addo would win the election unscathed.
