Luanda — A delegation of the Organising Committee of the African Cup of Nations (COCAN2010) is since Monday in Xangai, China, for talks with the managements of the companies that are building stadiums for the continental championship in 2010.
Headed by the deputy minister of Public Works, Joanes André, COCAN delegation is in China to put in details issues related to the construction works of the four stadiums such as the installation of data processing and telecommunications network, press rooms, access points and other architectonic sub-projects.
In the Asian country, the Angolan officials will check the projects in details and the finish up of the stadiums, in the light of recommendations after the first CAF inspection team's visit, held last May.
The delegation comprises staff from the ministry of Public Works, COCAN2010, Confederation of African Football (CAF), contractors, supervisors and consultants involved in the works of the stadiums in the provinces of Luanda, Benguela, Cabinda and Huíla. It will stay in China for 15 days.
