Harare — WILLOM Tight and Adam Chisvo will on Tuesday next week perform live at the Book Café and the Mannenburg as part of promoting their new albums.
Tight's new album Kuzangoma which showcases his dynamic vocals has the backing of Andy Brown and Clive 'Mono' Mukundu on the guitars as well as a special collaboration with superstar Oliver Mtukudzi on Dzokai Waro.
This album is dedicated to Tight's fans who have eagerly awaited its release coming as it does after seven years since his last release -- Ndinoda Wangu.
The songs on Kuzangoma are expected to showcase the progress made during the long wait.
Mbira fusion maestro Adam Chisvo will also be releasing his 11-track album titled Famba Pore Pore.
Chisvo who could be called the master of collaborations has teamed up with producer and keyboardist Bengt Post of Thulani Studios, Busi Ncube on backing vocals and Sam Chagumachinyi on drums.
Adam has been associated with many of Zimbabwe's most progressive musical groups, including Ilanga, Andy Brown and the Storm and a long partnership with mbira songstress Chiwoniso Maraire.
Famba Pore Pore is Adam's first solo project.
Both albums were recorded at Thulani Studios and will be released by Thulani Promotions this month.
The two artistes will team up for a double header at Book Café and Mannenburg from 8pm onwards to give patrons a taste of their new offerings.
