Namibia: State Funeral for Kuku Gwakondo

THE mother of founding President Sam Nujoma, Kuku Helvi Mpingana Kondombolo (Kuku GwaKondo), will be buried with State honours at Oneeke near her home village of Etunda in the Omusati Region on Saturday.

Kuku GwaKondo died on November 26 at the age of 108.

President Hifikepunye Pohamba, Prime Minister Nahas Angula, many Cabinet Ministers, other high-ranking officials, traditional leaders and diplomats will attend the funeral.

Deputy Prime Minister Libertina Amathila and Reverend Aino Kapewangolo will be the directors of ceremonies.
