Kampala — FIVE MTN and Nokia late chat customers have won prizes worth sh 420m in the ongoing MTN late chat promotion.

The promotion, which started in October, had Sumaya Nantongo, Gereva Tusitya, Martin Olupot, John Emoit and Annet Ndorerere, each won a mobile Nokia 2600 phone and an all-expenses paid trip to Mombasa for a weekend.

Several other customers won consolation prizes like MTN gift hampers, squeeze bottles, T-shirts, caps, shades, MTN branded mugs and airtime.

"MTN late chat is a lifestyle tariff plan that is convenient, affordable and structured for the youth market.

"It allows customers to make calls at sh2 per second every week-night until 6:00am the following day.

"The rates go as low as sh1 per second over the weekend", the MTN segment manager-youth, Gasper Mbowa said during the handover ceremony at MTN head offices in Kampala.
