Kampala — JAS Mangat will make his first outing in a new Subaru N12 in the Mille Collins Rally that starts this afternoon with a super special stage in Kigali, Rwanda.
Mangat made the trip with his brother Sandu Manraj (Golf GTI) and rookie Arthur Tibashobooka (Subaru N4).
The Ugandans, who completed recce yesterday, described the route as both rough and smooth, and said the Rwanda event would enable them test the new cars ahead of the Africa Rally Championship next season.
"The majority of 15 drivers in the rally are fast. It's going to be competitive and we will give it our best," Mangat stated.
Mangat is expected to give Burundian Rudy Cantenhede (Subaru N8) stiff competition in the three-day event which starts with a super special at the tight circuit in Industrial Area on the outskirts of Kigali.
