Nigeria: Dare Releases New Video

6 December 2008

Multi talented entertainer Dare Art Alade is set to make a statement in the Nigerian music scene as he embarks on a new journey in his remarkable career.

'I have been away from the music scene for so long, doing a lot of underground work, but it is not that I have been doing nothing, I have been recording songs, as well as shooting videos' he told journalists last week.

And now after serenading us with amazing videos: 'with this woman' and 'carry dey go', the singer is ready to up the ante again with a string of releases that will shock viewers in weeks to come. The first in the chain of new videos is 'not the girl', a video that was shot in South Africa and directed by Mark and Gwydion. '

'The video tells a story of a relationship that is perfectly wrong, and you can't just place your finger on the problem' Darey says. The video is the first part of a simple, stylish and beautifully shot mini drama that was shot in a resort apartment in camp bay.

The video is like a fore runner for Darey's second solo album 'Undareted' which drops next February. 'We are looking at releasing another video before the album drops, then release some other videos after the album launch, that is the least I can do for my fans, after all the support they've given over the years' says Darey.

Darey has been in the music industry for a while now, starting up his music career with accapella group 'Chord webs' before embarking on a solo career which birthed his debut album 'from me 2 u'.

One of the songs off his debut album 'Original Naija' was used as the theme song for the first edition of the Big brother Nigeria reality show. Undareted is scheduled for release early next year
