Luanda — Angolan musician Wyza is to sing on December 09-10 in Lisbon, Portugal, in a show organised by "Africa.Cont" promoting house, that will be witnessed by the local prime minister, José Sócrates, Angop learned.
According to a press note delivered to Angop, Wyza show is part of the official presentation of "Africa.Cont", a Portuguese institution linked to the promotion of cultural contemporary activities existing in the African continent:
The event, that is to take place in Portugal's pavilion where "Expo 98" was held, will also serve to celebrate the anniversary of the European Union-Africa Summit.
Wyza will also tour Paris, the capital of France, for some shows and interviews with local radio stations.
Born in the northern Uije province, Wyza is a solo guitarist and singer using mainly the vernacular language of northern Angola, kikongo.
