Nigeria: Legal Practitioner Advises Yar'Adua On Immunity Clause

A Sokoto-based lawyer, Mr. Ferdinand Okotete, has said Nigeria will be better off if the immunity clause is removed from the nation's constitution, urging President Umaru Musa Yar'adua to use the power of the PDP majority in the National Assembly to actualize this.

The legal practitioner who stated this yesterday in Sokoto, described as a welcome development the call by President Umaru Yar'adua for the removal of the immunity clause from the constitution.
