Akure — ANOTHER round of contract worth N15.432 billion has been approved by the Ondo state government for the construction of transmission and distribution of water for the Owena multipurpose dam water supply project in Ondo State.
The dam is a federal government project which had been abandoned after it was initiated in 1972.

It would be recalled that the state government has awarded over N50billion contracts since the Election Petition Tribunal in the state gave judgments against Dr. Olusegun Agagu who appealed the tribunal judgment and is awaiting the outcome of the appeal verdict in the last few months .
Other contracts approved for award at the state executive council yesterday was the purchase of 300 tricycles at N59.4million even when the one bought in 2004 were rejected by the people of the state.
