As part of its plans to support young people outside mainstream provision, Open Cast, a British non-governmental organization (NGO), has supported The Bridge Foundation. an Accra-based NGO, with a cheque of £3,000.

The financial support was in fulfillment of Open Cast's pledge to support their Ghanaian counterparts, The Bridge Foundation, to put up a school building at Kokrobite, a suburb of Accra. The donation also formalizes the partnership of the two NGOs in their bid to help the needy in society.

The President of The Bridge Foundation and the Project Coordinator, Mr. Charles Nkrumah, expressed their deepest gratitude to the donors for the gesture, and promised to put the money for the intended purpose only.

The Project Manager of Open Cast, Mrs. Angie Dowling, in one of her correspondence to the Bridge Foundation, stated that "Open Cast would also like to organize a trip to Ghana with some students, most of whom have never been outside England, so they might appreciate the difficulties faced by others and be pro-active in supporting those people who are not fortunate enough to have opportunities like they have."
