Luanda — The Angolan head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, is since 7.50pm local time (12.50 in Angola) in the People Republic of China for an official visit to the Asian nation.

At the company of the first lady, Ana Paula dos Santos, the Angolan Statesman will stay in Beijing until Friday.

There has not been scheduled any official activity for Monday in this second trip of José Eduardo dos Santos to China in 2008. His first visit took place last August where he attended the opening of the Olympic Games, and met with the Chinese president, Hu Jintao.

The strengthening of cooperation, in the most varied fields, will top the private meeting that president José Eduardo dos Santos will hold with his local counterpart.

Angola is developing a national reconstruction programme funded by China, estimated at over USD five billion, spent on the recovery of infrastructures and the two countries wish to strengthen the cooperation in the sectors of finances, transports, education, culture and health.

On the last day of president José Eduardo dos Santos' visit to China, will be held official talks between the two countries delegations which will lead to the signing of several documents.

On Friday, the Angolan leader will meet the speaker of China's People Assembly, Wu Bangguo, and the prime minister Wen Jiabao.

The presidential delegation includes the ministers of Foreign Affairs, Assunção dos Anjos, Finance, Severin de Morais, Transports, Augusto Tomás, among other personalities.

Located in Asia, China is subdivided into 23 provinces, five autonomous regions and four administrative cities.
