Uganda: Simba to Sack Ten

Kampala — SIMBA FC is set to drop 10 players and recruit six including a goalkeeper during the mid-season transfer window that opened on Monday.

"I can't disclose the names before we meet (today) but they are players whose salaries have been unjustifiable," army coach Sam Ssimbwa said yesterday.

Simba have already signed 17-year-old left back Brian Majwega from Standard High School.

At Lugogo, Nathan Mutenza has agreed a two-year deal with Kenyan club Tusker but KCC FC secretary Richard Omongole said he will only be allowed to move after payment of sh5m.

At Villa Park, SC Villa coach Sula Kato is confident he will conclude a two year deal with striker Gashoma Rukidi from Kinyara.

URA FC coach Moses Basena will bench lead striker Martin Muwanga for Henry Kisekka when the tax collectors play Yanga today.

Muwanga was wasteful in front of goal in their 1-0 win over Mtibwa on Monday.
