Gambia: Kinteh Delighted With Scorpions' Squad Depth

Lamin A. Darboe — GFA president Seedy MB Kinteh is satisfied with the number of players available for selection to the Scorpions.

"No, it has no impact on our team especially when you come to goalkeeping. We have five goalkeepers in the National side. We were using [a] home based [goalkeeper] in our last two qualifying games. They have performed exceptionally well. Without them (veterans) we will go, no one is indispensable", the strong talking Kinteh responded.

And he continued: "That's not the issue [presently]. The issue is, we have players and right now we have more players than we needed." Looking to the future Kinteh indicated that picking a point away to Algeria is very vital noting that they know how to handle the situation.

"The last time we played with Algeria inside Algeria we lost 1-0 from a penalty. We know how to tackle that situation. Getting a point in Algeria is very important, and this wining trend will continue."
