Abuja — Although Super Falcons Chief Coach, Joseph Ladipo has tendered his resignation following his dismal performances at the Beijing Olympic Games and the recently concluded African Women Championship held in Equatorial Guinea, Nigerians are calling for the sack of the remaining coaches whose teams also performed poorly at other continental and international competitions.Assistant Secretary General incharge of Marketing in the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Idris Adama said the board of NFF should as a matter of urgency sack all the coaches except the Super Eagles coach Amodu Shaibu. This may have informed the summoning of all the coaches under the NFF employment for a meeting today to review the series of poor performances in recent times.Leadership Sports gathered that some of the coaches may be sacked, but for fear that some may be left behind on the basis of favouritism and tribal sentiments, Adama stressed the need for all the coaches to be sacked and a new system of employing coaches be adopted which must be devoid of personal interests and tribalism but must be transparent."The series of poor performances these days is worrisome. Nigeria crashed out of the female World Cup,Under-17 male African Championship, U-17 female World Cup, Under-20 female World Cup, WAFU Championship, the African Nations Championship in Cote d' Ivoire, the African Women Championship in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea and the Super Eagles lost the international friendly match with Colombia."They gathered consortium of coaches to assist Okey Emordi and yet the Home Eagles could not beat Ghana and we are now out of the first ever African Nations Championship. Where were their expertise during the match. They should be sacked. NFF should come up with a transparent system of selecting coaches. We have Nigerian who have played the game and have undergone coaching courses abroad and are performing well. These are the coaches that must be given the opportunity like Samson Siasia and not these home-based coaches that are merely businessmen. Their performances have affected my business as a marketer of NFF and the national team. Tell me which private companies would like to identify or partner NFF in the face of numerous failures. Any system that is designed to favour quota system will fail and that is the situation we are facing now."Adama, who is not happy with the situation of things, came hard on the technical crew saying: "It is not that we can not produce players that can deliver the goods, but we have technical department and crews that are inefficient and whose approach to management is no longer acceptable in modern football system. A technical crew that can not provide technical report after a match. In fact, there should be a total overhauling of the entire system. If you motivate personnel that you know have nothing up stairs and you know can not deliver results, you are bound to fail because, you are only doing that to satisfy individual interests."
