Eritrean Citizens Living in Germany Conduct Discussion On Objective Situation in the Homeland And Development Programs

Asmara — Eritrean citizens living in the German city of Cologne conducted discussion on December 13 regarding the objective situation in the Homeland and the implementation of development programs.

The Eritrean Ambassador to Germany, Mr. Petros Tsegai, outlined the accomplishments being scored in efforts to achieve food security through stepped-up agricultural activities, as well as constructing micro-dams and water reservoirs. Lauding the contribution of Eritrean nationals residing abroad through standing alongside their people and government, the Ambassador called on them to enhance their participation in the development drive.

The head of public and community affairs in the Embassy, Mr. Berhane Zere, on his part stressed the significance of nurturing dynamic youths who honor the trust of martyrs. He further indicated that there are plans to conduct meetings focusing on youths, in continuation of the similar ones held previously in a number of European countries.

Expressing satisfaction with the Eritrean government's endeavors to ensure economic emancipation and improve the people's standard of living, the participants reiterated their commitment to live up to the nation's expectation. Eritrean citizens from the German cities of Cologne, Munshingladbach, Vupertal, Düsseldorf, Essen, Bonn and its environs took part in the discussion.
