Nigeria: Ebonyi Assembly Passes 2008 Supplementary Budget

WHILE other states are rolling out their 2009 fiscal appropriation nets, the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, on Monday, passed into law a supplementary budget of Eight billion, One hundred Sixty Five million, Five hundred Fifty Nine thousand, One hundred and Eighty naira (N8,165,559,180) for the year ending 31st December 2008.

Discussing the bill on the floor, House deputy Leader Kennedy Ogba said that the budget will enable the executive to complete some of the projects that are of great importance to the people, adding that the House has been performing its oversight function of making laws for the good governance of the State
