Kigali — AMAVUBI U-20 TEAM kicked off their one-month training camp in North Africa by registering a 1-0 win over Tunisia Premier league club La Marsa on Wednesday.
A lone goal from Jean Claude Iranzi on the 89th minute earned Rwanda her first victory over the Tunisian league side.
According to reports from Tunis, the team displayed good football against La Marsa who are 11th in the Tunisian premier league table.
The youngsters are assessing their ability ahead of the 16th African Youth Championship set for January 18-February 1 in Kigali.
The team's other fixtures are against another top flight league club Bizertin CA and a second division club ES Beni-Khalled.
Rwanda will climax their campaign on December 29 with a game against Club Africain which won last year's league title. This year, Club Africain is third with 22 points, seven points behind leaders Esperance.
