Rwanda: RPF Political Bureau Meets

Kigali — The Political Bureau of the Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF) Inkotanyi under the Chairmanship of its leader, President Paul Kagame, yesterday met at Prime Holdings in Kimuhurura.

Kagame requested party cadres to have the courage to expose and fight bad tendencies within the party and to be exemplary by doing what they say. He said that party members should fight against failures in implementing the organisation's good policies.

The members of the Political Bureau adopted a report detailing the achievements of the party in the year 2008 and also adopted the party program for the year 2009.

The meeting also received a report on the recently held parliamentary elections and expressed satisfaction with the way the elections were conducted.

The Party Political Bureau also discussed strategies that can advance social security and savings, and also agreed to promote the savings culture to the population.

Also discussed were the talks between Rwanda and the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the recent United Nations report of experts on Rwanda and the case of the Director of State protocol Rose Kabuye.
