Angola: Head of State Returns Home

Luanda — President José Eduardo dos Santos on Sunday returned to the country, after his three-day official visit to China, at the

invitation of his counterpart, Hu Jiantao, ANGOP has learnt.

At Luanda's 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, President José Eduardo dos Santos, accompanied by his wife, Ana Paula dos Santos, was welcomed by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, the Supreme Court Chief Justice,

Cristiano André, the Prime Minister, Paulo Kassoma, and other members of the government.

In China, the Angolan President with his counterpart, Hu Jiantao, and witnessed the signing of a framework co-operation accord between both countries, after the holding of the official talks.

The Angolan statesman also held separate meetings with the Speaker of the Chinese Assembly, Hu Bangguo, and Premier Wen Jiabao, on issues turned to the reinforcement of the bilateral co-operation, as well as with the manager of China's Exximbank, Li Ruobu.

China and Angola have bilateral co-operation since 1979.
