Addis Ababa — An Angolan delegation is attending this Monday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, a meeting for Foreign Affairs ministers of member countries of the African Union (AU)'s Peace and Security Council.
The Angolan delegation is led by the Foreign Affairs deputy minister, George Chicoty, and comprises the Angolan ambassador to Ethiopia and the permanent representative to the African Union, Manuel Domingos Augusto, and by the director for Africa and Middle East of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nelson Cosme.
The meeting will discuss, among other issues, the situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The meeting will also analyse the crisis installed in the transition federal government and the attacks observed in Mogadishu city, in Somalia, and in other parts of the country.
Foreign Affairs ministers and members of AU's Peace and Security Council will analyse the possibility of imposing sanctions to illegal authorities that carried out the coup d'état of August 06 in Mauritania.
The Peace and Security Council will also analyse the progress of the situation in Guinea Bissau, after the election and murder attempt to President Nino Vieira.
