The Chief Executive Officer, CEO of Orange Cameroun, Mr. Jean Michel Latute, and his collaborators were in Bamenda recently launched its new product known as Livebox in Bamenda.

Addressing the population, Jean Michel Latute described Livebox as a small device that gives each customer of Orange Cameroun the possibility of being connected wirelessly to high-speed internet at home or in the office. He paid tributes to Wimax technology, "you can be connected to the internet using Hertz frequency modulation like the radio and you can share your high-speed connection with as many computers as you like."
"It is simple to use, user-friendly and performant, the Livebox generates a lot of satisfaction from its users wherever it is marketed. From now on, Bamenda can measure up to the standards of other big cities in Africa and the world at large." Mr. Latute averred.
Classifying Orange Cameroun as a major mobile telephone company in Cameroun, Latute said for close to ten years now, Orange has enabled Cameroonians make calls and send text messages (SMS) thanks to its policy of constant innovation Orange has decided to diversify its offers by proposing various multimedia services to customers.
These services include; access to news, information, fun and the internet from mobile phone thanks to the Orange World, Portal exchange of pictures, images and sounds with MMS, management of professional emails with the PUSH Email service, surfing the web thanks to the mobile internet offer.
The CEO of Orange posited that as the "number one in network coverage," Orange has continued to extend network all over Cameroon and in the Northwest Region in particular.
As a result, Batibo, Big Babanki, Hot Spot Quarter in Bamenda, Mbengwi, Mendankwe, Ndu, Ndop, Njinikom, Nkambe Wum and Zhoa have recently been connected. "Soon it will be the turn of Belo, Balikumbat and Mbingo" Latute concluded.
Representing Northwest Governor, the Secretary General at the Governor's office, Mr. Bernard Messape, appreciated the new product Livebox, saying it will surely improve on the communication skills and live styles of the customers in the Northwest.He reassured the CEO of Orange of constant support from the administration at all times.On giant screens, Orange customers were drilled on how to go about with Livebox.
