Asmara — A total of 128 students graduated from the ERI-British International Institute here in the capital on December 20 28 students in diploma in distance learning.
The students graduated in different fields of study such as Business Administration, Accounting, Business Information Technology, Computer Software Development, Information Technology, Civil Engineering and Management, among others.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the manager of the Institute, Mr. Alazar Hailemichael, pointed out that the institute previously provided under and post-graduate courses to students from several administrative bodies, ministries, non-governmental organizations and others. As regards future programs, he indicated that there are plans to reorganize the educational programs of the Institute in tune with the standard of education offered by the country's higher institutions of learning.
Mr. Petros Hailemarim, director general of research and human resource development in the Ministry of Education, on his part stated that the Eritrean government has been exerting vigorous efforts to promote human resource development and that the Ministry has extended assistance to private educational centers in a bid to attain the set objectives.
