Following a scrumptious gala dinner, the highlight of the evening was the much awaited TACC Awards ceremony which distinguishes each year the enterprises which best contributed to promote Tunisian American trade and business relations.

The TACC Investor of the year Prize was awarded to the company Pioneer.

In an interview to the Tunisian daily Le Quotidien, one of the two the recipients of the TACC Exporter of the year Award, Mr Rachid Zarrad of the SARTEX managing board, said that the success of the company's top of the range products in the US, is the result of the quality of the garments exported for such major US companies as Levi's, Timberland, Ralph Lauren and others.

He also said that in spite of the company's credibility and good image, he hoped that the Tunisian -American Free Exchange Zone would soon see the day, adding that this zone would give his company a freer access to the much disputed American market.

SARTEX, a 100% fully exporting company employs some 3500 technicians and engineers, and exports its products to 35 major customers throughout the world.
