Lagos — Nigeria's U-20 side, the Flying Eagles will jet out to Nairobi , Kenya next week where they will they will acclimatize for the African Youth Championship in Rwanda . The camping will expectedly prepare the Flying Eagles for the high altitude of the Rwanda where they will be aiming to win the African U20 showpiece.
The tournament which holds from January 18th - 1st February 2009 will pitch Nigeria against Egypt , Cote d'Ivoire and South Africa in a tough Group B.
Nigeria Football Federation Secretary General Bolaji Ojooba disclosed that the protocol department was working round the clock to ensure the Flying Eagles travel out to Kenya on schedule.
The Flying Eagles will be hard pressed to challenge for the African Youth Championship where the team then under the guidance of Godwin Koko Uwa were uninspiring at the last edition in Congo Brazzaville forcing the NFF to draft in Ladan Bosso who subsequently guided the team to the quarter final of the World Youth Championship in Canada .
