Nigeria: Fuel Scarcity Bites, Transport Fare Skyrockets

Kaduna — Kaduna State is currently battling with long queues at the few fillling stations where fuel is available, few commercial vehicles on the street and high transport fare, as a result of the protest embarked upon by tanker drivers last week.

Signs of the scarcity, which became evident on Sunday, got became worse on Monday, when most filling stations ran out of fuel, despite the reported suspension of the strike by tanker drivers.
