Ghana: Govt Closes Borders With Neigbouring Countries for Three Days

Accra — Government has announced  the closure of the Togo, Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso borders from 6am on Friday December 26 till Monday December 29.

A statement issuesd by  the National Security Co-ordinator, Mr Sam Amoo said the closure of the borders was in the interest of National Security.

The Aflao border was closed in a simialr exercise a day before the December 7 general elections, drawing criticisms from traditional rulers and religious leaders in the volta region.
