Eritrea: Shambuko Sub-Zone - Potable Water Supply Projects Implemented in Shitat

Shambuko — The inhabitants of Shihat administrative area, Shambuko sub-zone, have now got access to reliable potable water supply thanks to the newly implemented project.

The Administrator of the area, Mr. Debrom Eyasu, indicated that the just finalized solar energy generated water supply project is the first of its kind in terms of size in the Gash-Barka region. He further stated that it would make due contribution in easing potable water supply problem in the area.

The local inhabitants expressed satisfaction with the Government's endeavors to provide equitable social service to displaced nationals who returned to their home villages from makeshift camps.

Shihat is one of the 17 administrative areas of Shambuko sub-zone in which about 800 families are being rehabilitated following displacement due to the TPLF regime's war of aggression.
