Luanda — The Angolan Foreign Affairs deputy minister, George Chicoty, returned last Tuesday to the country after having participated in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in the conference of the member countries of the African Union (AU)'s Peace and Security Council held last Monday.
The diplomat, who led an Angolan delegation comprising the ambassadors Manuel Augusto and Nelson Cosme, gave a brief interview to ANGOP at Luanda's 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, in which he revealed that the meeting analysed the situations in the
Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Mauritania, Somalia and Guinea Bissau.
The African Union's Peace and Security Council is made up by Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Mali, Nigeria, Rwanda, Swaziland, Chad, Tunisia, Uganda and Zambia.
The Foreign Affairs deputy minister also participated in the meeting on the Great Lakes, held in Nairobi, which analysed the current situation in the DRC.
