Abuja — THE Vaswani brothers are in the news again, as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is set to close down their car retail outlets, better known as The Honda Place in both Kano and Abuja, following the failure of the Vaswani brothers, operators of the Honda car franchise in Nigeria to honour its invitation.
Already, its Honda place, Lagos office was last Tuesday sealed-off in what EFCC sources described as a consequence of on-going investigations into allegations of forgery and fraud to the tune of N4 billion.
Head of Media and Publicity in the Commission, Mr Femi Babafemi, confirmed that the EFCC had spread its dragnet both within and outside the country, to apprehend the Vaswani brothers, forced to relocate to Ghana, in the wake of their deportation over alleged economic crimes offences two years ago.
Sources close to the on-going investigations confided that the Vaswani brothers are wanted by the commission over alleged forgery of some documents and criminal breach of trust.
It was also gathered that the Vaswani brothers had failed to honour the invitation of the EFCC for questioning, three weeks after, prompting operatives to storm its offices in Lagos, and shutting it.
It was, however, learnt weekend, that the Commission is once again set to storm the Honda Place offices in both Kano and Abuja.
