Winners have emerged from the grand finale of the GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Macleans Confidence Ride Promo.
Mr. Saheed Olatunde, 28-year-old aluminium fabricator smiled home with the star prize of Power Bike.
It was winning galore for 66 other participants as two of them carted away Home Theatres, while two grabbed LCD Televisions, while two won DVD Players. The rest 60 winners got a Mobile Handset each.
Responding on behalf of the winners,. Olatunde, extolled GSK for promoting the health and well being of its consumers.
His words, "I am eternally grateful to GSK for this great opportunity. It's a like dream to me. I am overwhelmed with joy for winning this PowerBike. This will immensely help me to fend for my family," he stated.
The Star prize winner commended GSK for the transparency and originality of the promo, adding that it has really impacted the common people in the street.
"I commend GSK for the transparent way they organized this Promo. 'This is why the result impacted and added value to the common people like me. This shows that GSK is reliable and has the welfare of Nigerians at heart. I enjoin other organizations to imitate them," Olatunde concluded.
A winner of home theatre, Olatunji Olukunle, a student of Lagos City Computer College, said, "Thank GSK for buttering my bread this Christmas Season. The prize has strengthened my belief in Macleans as the king of all toothpastes."
According to Mr.Olukunle, the brand had numerous consumers participating in the promo which increased the share of repertoire of its adopters as well as recruit new users.
Mrs. Hannah Oyebanjo, Marketing Director GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Nigeria Plc said that the organisation as a responsible and promise fulfilling company. 'We act on what we have promised. She added that the Promo was to give back to the loyal customers for their patronage and keeping faith with the global friendly brand Macleans since introduction into the Nigeria market."
Oyebanjo further stated that, "GSK is happy for all the winners and strongly believe that the items will add value and bring about their inner fulfilment as winners of Macleans Confidence Ride Promo."
Fielding questions from journalists, Mr. Tayo Olatunji, Marketing Manager, GlaxoSmithKline said "Macleans had indeed infused excitement and given great sense of belonging to our numerous consumers for who participated in the Macleans Confidence Ride. We are here to rejoice and celebrate their successes."
Macleans Confidence Ride Promo which ran in three cities (Enugu, Abuja and Lagos) for three months, also produced many consolation prizes: t-shirt, face caps, DVD players and mobile phone handsets.
