Abuja — The Esu Karu, His Royal Highness, Pharm Luka Panya Baba, has called on youths resident in Karu local government, not to allow themselves to be used by anti- progressive people to cause unrest in the country, saying the government had good plans to better their lives if they remained law abiding.

He gave the call yesterday in his palace in a Christmas message to residents of Karu.. He advised the residents to celebrate Christmas, bearing in mind the true essence of the celebration, adding that they should not use the period for fighting or causing misunderstanding. He advised them to live in peace and harmony with their neighbours and see their neighbours as their best friends, adding that Karu was a place for all to stay peacefully irrespective of tribe or religious affiliation.

He also urged all the people causing chaos in Nigeria in the name of religion to have a rethink, saying they did not understand the religion they claim to be practising if they continued killing one another in the name of religion, adding that everyone had a right of religion that must not be infringed upon.

Panya urged the youths to embrace education, as it is the only way of securing a bright future. He also used the opportunity to call on all natives of Karu in the diaspora who had come home for the holiday to come and invest at home as this will help develop the area.
