Phinda Dlamini is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Dennis Masina and Tony Tsabedze by becoming the third Swazi to play for SuperSport United.
The national Under-20 striker is set for a return assessment at the club, having already trained with them earlier this year. He will have until January 5 to convince coach Gavin Hunt to offer him a contract.
"It's true I will be going to South Africa with 'Yuki' [Masina] for the last part of my assessment as I had also gone there earlier this year," Dlamini tells Kick Off.com.
Hunt confirms the 18-year-old's arrival, saying: "We had a look at him early in the year. We think he is maturing with time, so we need the last assessment on him and will then take it from there."
However, SuperSport could well face a fight for the 18-year-old, who has reportedly also caught Ted Dumitru's eye at Mamelodi Sundowns.
Dlamini impressed at the Cosafa Under-20 games in Kimberley earlier this month, prompting player-agent Ryan Hartslief to approach him to become his manager.
