Zimbabwe: Chitungwiza Hospital Records 58 Births

Harare — CHITUNGWIZA Central Hospital has recorded 58 normal births so far this festive season with 10 having been born on Christmas Day.

There are 30 boys and 25

girls while three were unidentified.

Chitungwiza Hospital public relations officer Mrs Audrey Tasaranarwo yesterday said 10 births were recorded on Christmas day among them seven boys and three girls.

"Twelve babies were born on Boxing Day among them eight boys and four girls.

"On the 27th eight babies were born, among them three boys, four girls and one unidentified baby," she said.

A total of 16 babies were born on the 28th among them eight boys, seven girls and one unidentified one.

Yesterday the hospital recorded 10 births, six boys and four

girls.

Four babies were born under the caesarian operation among them two boys and two girls.

Mrs Tasaranarwo said the births were higher this year than previous years although she could not give statistics.
