Uganda: Gov't Tipped On Poverty Funds

Kampala — Government has been challenged to address wasteful expenditure within its ministries for meaningful development.

The vice chairperson of the Parliament Public accounts committee, Ssebuliba Mutumba said that without tackling corruption, funds budgeted to eradicate poverty do not reach the intended beneficiaries.

Ssebuliba advised the Government to revamp the agriculture sector which is the backbone of the economy.
