Gambia: Niger's Youth And Sports Minister Meets VP

Abdourahman Saidou, the Minister of Youths and Sports in Niger, yesterday, called on Aja Dr Isatou Njie-Saidy, vice president and secretary of state for Women's Affairs, at her office, at State House in Banjul.

Speaking to journalists shortly after his audience with Vice President Njie-Saidy, Saidou said his visit to State House was meant to discuss with the Gambia's vice president issues pertaining to Niger's fourth coming CEN-SAD games, scheduled for February 4, 2009. He revealed that the CEN-SAD games are all about cultural and sporting activities.

The Niger's Youths and Sports minister told journalists that he had already discussed with his Gambian counterpart, Sheriff Gomez, secretary of state for Youths and Sports, issues surrounding the CEN-SAD games before coming to the vice president's office.

Mr Saidou was accompanied to State House by Sheriff Gomez, secretary of state for Youths and Sports and Mambajick Njie, permanent secretary at DOSYS.
