Tunis — The various components of Tunisian civil society, political parties, national organisations, associations, and professional structures, have expressed their solidarity with the Palestinian people, following the Israeli air attacks which have caused the death of hundred of casualties and injured.
In several communiqués released on Tuesday, the various components of civil society express their support for the Tunisian official position reiterated by President Ben Ali on several occasions, to make international legality prevail and to privilege dialogue.
The newly elected executive board of the Tunisian Writers' Union calls for "all the freedom and peace loving forces in the Arab world to do what they can to stop this aggression against a disarmed people".
The Tunisian Association of "Doctors Without Borders" denounces the Israeli aggression on Palestinian civilians, and calls for "providing the Palestinian people with the necessary protection, in conformity with United Nations resolutions and international law".
In a related event, the official Tunisian Press Agency TAP, has announced on Tuesday that a solidarity march with the Palestinian people will be organized on Thursday January 1, 2009 in Tunis.
The march will gather representatives of political parties, national organisations, associations and professional structures.

We are suuffring in tunisia that we can't help the palestinians people even by a free movement or assemblees ...we feel like if tunisia is out of the world , no any connections with humanity...we need more freedom to act...
