GOVERNOR Olusegun Agagu has lauded traditional rulers in the state for maintaining peace in their domains in the last five years of his administration.

Speaking at the first year coronation of the 44th Osemawe of Ondo, Oba Victor Kiladejo, the governor said the peace that reigns in the state was as a result of the efforts of the traditional rulers across the state.

Agagu assured that his administration would continue to give all the necessary support to the traditional institution.

He added that a secretariat was being constructed for the traditional rulers in the state and that it would be completed next year.

According to him, the government would always need the support of the traditional rulers in ensuring that the people are peaceful and cooperate with government.

He commended the Osemawe for his peaceful reign and urged him not to rest on his oars in sustaining the peaceful atmosphere in his domain.

Oba Kiladejo lauded the governor's developmental efforts across the state. He noted that Agagu had performed and should be supported by everybody and appealed to indigenes of the town to return home and support the developmental efforts of government.
