Uganda: Zanzibar Start Well in Cecafa

Kampala — INSPIRED by Aggrey Morris' dead-ball instinct, Zanaibar registered a perfect start to their Cecafa title pursuit with an opportunistic 2-0 win over Somalia yesterday.

Morris struck a first half free kick before converting from the penalty spot in the 89th minute after Ramathan Kiyamid had been brought down.

It was an unjust result for a Somalia side that had physically given as much as they got through the entire 90 minutes in an empty Mandela national stadium, Namboole.

Morris is currently the tournament's top scorer with two goals alongside Zambian striker mark Given Singuruma The result pushed Zanzibar to the summit of Group A with three points.

Uganda,Rwanda and Tanzania are the other teams in what promises to be a tight agroup.
