Angola: Women Ministry to Promote Family Capacity-Building

Luanda — The Ministry of Family and Woman Promotion (Minfamu), announced on Monday in Luanda that it will carry out several actions aimed at promoting family competence and women's empowerment and capacity-building at all levels.

The fact was revealed by the Family and Woman Promotion Minister, Genoveva da Conceição Lino, when speaking to staff of her Ministry, during the yearend ceremony, held at the Ministry's headquarters.

The Cabinet official stressed that the mentioned actions aim at providing families and women with abilities and competences for the integration and effective participation in the development process.

For next year, greater attention will be paid to the holding of seminars and talks aiming at discussing gender equality and preventing diseases such as HIV/AIDS, breast and prostate cancer.
