Abuja — Despite the ongoing crisis between Israel and the Hamas in the Gaza strip, Nigerian Christian pilgrims have been assured of their safety while in Israel.

This assurance was handed out in a joint press briefing by the Israeli embassy in Nigeria and the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), in Abuja, yesterday.

The Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Moshe Ram, who spoke on behalf of the Israeli government, assured that all Nigerian pilgrims who were already in his country were safe and that nothing unexpected would happen to any of them.

Ambassador Ram noted that his country had taken necessary steps to ensure that the pilgrims were safe during the period of the religious exercise in Israel.
