Maiduguri — As Gboko the political headquarters of the Tiv Nation is bedeviled by a protracted political crises that has culminated in the impending sack of the Simon Abua led administration, youths of the local government council under the aegis of Gboko Youths Forum have issued an ultimatum to those they alleged are behind the crises rocking Gboko to desist or face their wrath.
They alleged that the move to impeach Mr. Simon Abua as chairman of Gboko Local Government Council after being suspended from office is being spearheaded by two Special Advisers to Governor Gabriel Suswam and a Member of the House of Reprehensive who are bent on creating disaffection in Gboko and make it ungovernable.
Aggregating their stance on the issue in a protest letter to Governor Gabriel Suswam and which was made available to Vanguard, the Youth group lamented the role the political leaders are playing all to get at Mr. Simon Abua without taking into cognizance the destability that will trail their action saying that the impeachment notice served the suspended council chairman was initiated and masterminded by the said top politicians.
The protest letter which was titled: "Attempts to destabilize Gboko Local Government Council", and signed by 8 youth leaders from 8 wards that make up the council led by Gabriel Aondona of Ukpekpe Ward, the youth group claimed that the actions of the top government officials and the House of Representative member, were capable of destabilizing the political peace of Gboko Local Government Area.
