Asmara — Mereb Construction Company implemented major development and reconstruction projects worth about 200 million Nakfa over the past couple of years, according to Lt. Colonel Haile Mesfin, manager of the company.
He stated that the company has also made due contribution in alleviating housing problem, constructing ponds and digging wells. Lt. Colonel Haile further indicated that at present it is actively engaged in the construction of the Halhale Institute College involving 9 blocks of classrooms, a cafeteria that could accommodate 1,000 students at a given time, 6 blocks of dormitory and other facilities. He added that 90% of the construction of the project at a cost of 25 million Nakfa has been finalized.
Moreover, the manager pointed out that the company is constructing ERI-TEL building complex at an expenditure of 2 million Nakfa in Dekemhare town and that it had already constructed Ground+3 building at a cost of 8 million Nakfa for the production of children's diet in the same town. He also outlined the tasks accomplished in upgrading the skill of staff members.
